Physiotherapy: Paediatrics
How Physiotherapy For Paediatrics Works:
Our physiotherapist is trained in paediatric services that are specialized for newborns, toddlers, tweens and teens. This service will be unique to North Middlesex and provide families physiotherapy services specialized in child rehabilitation.
Our Parkhill physiotherapists are experts in infant motor development with training in acute paediatrics, rehabilitative neurological paediatrics and gross motor development from preemies to teenagers. They will assess and treat a variety of conditions such as gross and fine motor developmental delays, neurological conditions, orthopaedic concerns, infant concerns, balance and coordination, muscle strength and flexibility, postural correction, endurance training, sports specific injuries and help with prescription of assistive devices.

Evidence-based research shows early physiotherapy intervention for kids is necessary to promote overall development and address developmental delays or movement challenges to ensure each child within our community flourishes and reaches their full potential.
Your initial assessment will consist of a thorough health history and focused one-on-one hands-on examination, considering the unique and dynamic needs of your growing baby, child and youth. Your therapist will provide one-on-one, or specialized group sessions, with a strengths-based approach to reduce developmental milestone stress, strengthen motor skills, and promote overall development.

No referral is necessary to be assessed or treated by our physiotherapists. We welcome patients referred by their family doctor or other health care professionals. Please note many insurance companies require a referral.
